Overview
VDUs are used across every industry and are a contributing factor to back injury and eye strain caused by poor ergonomics or incorrect positioning of equipment and lighting.
The General Application Regulations require employers to carry out a risk assessment of each VDU workstation. Our assessment covers equipment, software, ventilation, lighting, access and egress, ergonomics, housekeeping, space, noise, eye tests, electrical cables, manual handling and work-related stress, along with the employee’s routine, posture and seating.
